Ugly stores of electoral irregularities happening in Kano State have saturated Twitter and other social media platforms.

These are what some Nigerians in Kano are tweeting concerning the supplementary election currently ongoing in the state:

Umar Gezawa, @gezawaumar: There is no election going on in Kano. #KanoRerun

Nasidi Adamu Yahaya, @Nasidi_Kura said: An APC chieftain in Kano has ordered political thugs to assault our colleague and seized his equipments. This #KanoRerun is crazy.

“My colleague in Kano has just told me government officials have asked TVC crew – with their OB van – to leave Gama town if they didn’t want to be “dealt with.” #KanoRerun

“Thugs from other places have invaded Gama town where #KanoRerun takes place.

Wallahil Azeem said: We were attacked twice in Takai Local Government. We were first attacked around 4am in the morning but we were lucky to espace that and proceed to Falali Ward only for thugs to be sent to disrupt the electoral Process and send us away. #KanoRerun

Another twitter user, Dadiyata, @dadiyata: Kunya Ward, Minjibir LG @OfficialAPCN# said: thugs have finished stuffing the ballot box & already on their way to @inecnigeria collation center #KanoRerun.

“At Kofar Mazugal @OfficialPDPNig agent is stabbed, all identified PDP supporters are openly attacked, whoever attempts to record the incidence on his phone is equally attacked! #KanoRerun

“Command now under control of the deployed DIG is COMPROMISED as they watch APC thugs unleash mayhem without intervening

“Info at my disposal suggest that Airforce men are on their way to Gama to take charge of the situation”.
