KATSINA: Manhunt for three motorists who gang raped 1-yr-old underway

A manhunt for three-motorist who gang raped a one-year-old baby is currently underway by men of the Katsina State Police Command.

According to reports, the baby’s mother identified as Suwaiba Ahmadu, was on her way returning from Angwan Bawa area in the Danja LGA when the suspects accosted her.

Two of the suspects reportedly met with the mother of the baby along a lonely road and lured her to take a ride with them on a motorcycle to her destination but instead took her to Danja Local Government Area of the state where they raped her baby.

Confirming the incident, DSP Isha Gambo, Katsina State Police Public Relations Officer, revealed that one of the suspect has been caught and also noted that the police were on the trail of the other two suspects who are at large.

“At a point along the bush path, the baby, who was strapped to the back of the mother, was forcefully taken from the mother by two members of the gang. They ran inside the bush with the baby, where another member was waiting for them. The trio thereafter gang-raped the baby,” he said.

Continuing, he added that; “One of the gang members, Saleh Suleiman, is already in the police net while the other two, whose names we cannot disclose yet, are still on the run.”
