Kemi Olunloyo threatens N2bn suit against 2 media houses

Investigative journalist Kemi Olunloyo is lamenting her stay at the Port Harcourt prison forcing her to write a note revealing her sufferings in detention.

In her note, the controversial journalist thanked Bisi Alimi, Cossy Orjiakor, Cool FM’s Daddy Freeze and Instablog9ja for their concern over her continued detention.

Last week, hours after she was granted bail by a Magistrate Court, the decision was overruled by a higher court denying her bail for the second time in two weeks.

The earlier ruling by the Magistrate Court was overruled by a Federal High Court sitting in Rivers State, denying the daughter of former governor of Oyo State freedom to go home.

Kemi and Walson were both detained at the Port Harcourt prison following a petition written to the Nigerian Police Force by Pastor David Ibiyeomie of Salvation Ministries who claimed they both defamed by him.

However, charges against Port Harcourt-based publisher, Samuel Walson, who was arrested on the same day with Kemi were dropped.
