Kenyan man kills younger brother over land tussle

A 25-year-old man identified as Wycliffe Karanja is now telling police in Kenya how he killed his younger brother and secretly buried his body on a maize plantation in Trans Nzoia County.

According to reports, Karanja spilled the beans after expressing fears that villagers harvesting maize on a nearby farm would unearth his late brother’s secret grave sooner than later.

According to Kwanza OCPD Wilfred Mogire, Mr Karanja’s confession shocked many following the gruesome killing of his brother identified as John Maina, who had earlier been declared missing three weeks ago.

“He came to the station in the company of an elderly man and told us he wanted to make a confession in relation to his brother’s death. Karanja revealed he killed his brother after they both disagreed over a parcel of land that had been left under their custody by their late parents.” said Mr Mogire.
