Kenyan track and field athlete who also doubles as the World javelin champion Julius Yego is in stable condition after he was involved in a high-impact auto crash with his week-old sports utility vehicle (SUV) last Saturday.
According to reports, Yego was alone in the vehicle when his brand-new Toyota Prado crashed along Kapsoya Road near Equity Bank.
The athlete nicknamed “Mr. YouTube Man” because he learned how to throw by watching YouTube videos of javelin athletes, however took to his Facebook page to quell fears about his condition when he wrote thus on his page: “God is living and great! I’m OK my people. Can’t believe am alive. @mungu yupo! I’m in stable condition”.
Moments after the auto crash, Yego was rushed to Mediheal Hospital in Eldoret Town where he was kept overnight for tests and observations and his extensively damaged SUV was towed to the Eldoret Central Police Station
