Kidnapper Evans, sues IGP, others

Kidnapper, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike a.k.a. Evans, has sued Nigeria’s Inspector General of Police (IGP) Ibrahim Idris, and three others over his continuous detention.

In a fundamental rights enforcement suit he filed before the Lagos Federal High Court, Evans prayed for an order of the court, mandating the respondents to immediately charge him to court if there is any case against him in accordance with Sections 35 (1) (c) (3) (4) (5) (a) (b) and 36 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

He contends that his detention is illegal.

The three others he joined as respondents in the motion are the Nigeria Police Force, Commissioner of Police, Lagos State and the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Lagos State Police Command.

The suit was instituted on his behalf by a Lagos-based lawyer, Olukoya Ogungbeje.

The alleged kidnapper alternatively asked the court to order the respondents to without any further delay release him unconditionally if they do not have any offence for which he should be charged to court.

But why the delay in prosecuting his case for real? Seem the police are still having fun with the guy or how? Charge him to court and let him know his fate

Kidnapping is a criminal offense, by now Evans is supposed to Have been charged to court, why is the Nigeria police delaying? Now that he has slammed IGP with lawsuit, it shows the alleged criminal knows the law more than the police

This is how it starts… we’ll all be in this country when the billionaire kidnapper who’s supposed to be sentenced to death will be discharged to go back home with no punishment

I’m sure that’s what they are planning because his detention is taking too long. If they don’t want to charge him to court, they should let him go home. What have see not seen in this country, his release won’t be the first and won’t be last.
