Ezekwesili emerges presidential candidate of ACPN

The presidential candidate of the Allied Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN) said the silence of President Muhammadu Buhari on killings of Nigerians especially in the North-East and parts of Zamfara and Kaduna shows the President was far from the reality on the security challenges in the country.

The former Minister for education who said the President only speaks on the insecurity challenge when he intends to use same for his re-election campaign added that Buhari had not portrayed himself as a good leader.

Pouring out her mind on her verified twitter handle, @obyezeks, writes, “The @NGRPresident @MBuhari is very UNJUST to his citizens in the way he has failed to Dignify their lives.

“Each time the President nods his own head for “great work on stemming Insecurity” , one concludes that he is far removed from the reality of what his citizens especially in the North East, North Central and Zamfara & Kaduna in the North West have suffered & STILL SUFFER. Tragic.

“I advise the President to step away from seeing issues of National Security as “arsenals” for his re-election & do the right thing; which is to give all weight to his constitutional duty to protect his country and citizens.

She called on Buhari to rise up to his responsibility while demanding explanation on the anti terrorism war being fought by the APC government.

“Get Nigeria’s priorities right IMMEDIATELY, @MBuhari . I demand that the President, C-in-C IMMEDIATELY renders an accurate report of the Counter-Terrorism war & National Security more broadly. You OWE this to your citizens.”
