Kogi: APC denies picking Bello to replace Audu

Contrary to widespread reports, the All Progressives Congress, APC, has denied choosing Alhaji Yahaya Bello as replacement for Prince Abubakar Audu, its late governorship candidate in the Kogi State governorship election.

The party said it is yet to take a position on the issue.

According to the Acting National publicity secretary of APC, Timi Frank, said the party is still consulting, insisting that no decision has been taken so far.

“We are still consulting on the issue. We would take a final stand on the issue of Audu’s replacement on Monday and we are definitely going to issue a statement on the issue”, he said.

Yahaya Bello was the first runner up in the August 25 primary of the party conducted in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.
