Kogi Police parades suspected killers of PDP Women leader

The Kogi State Police Command on Tuesday paraded six suspects allegedly behind the killing of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Women Leader in the state, Mrs. Salome Abuh.

Mrs. Abuh was burnt alive in her house on November 18, shortly after the announcement of the state governorship election results by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The six suspects were – Ocholi Edicha, Adamu Haruna, Onu Egbunu, Musa Alidu, Attai Haruna and Attah Ejeh.

The state Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Busari, who paraded the suspects, said Edicha confessed that he led the gang that burnt the house of one Elder Simon Abuh which led to the death of the women leader.

“The suspects further confessed that they were responsible for the series of armed robbery incidents in Ochadamu and its environs,” the police commissioner said.

Busari assured the people of the state that all perpetrators of the act would not go unpunished as efforts are still ongoing to get other members of the gang.
