KOGI: Voter, policeman shot dead

A yet-to-be identified voter in the Dekina local government of Kogi State has been shot dead after he was involved in an argument with individuals suspected to be political thugs.

Reports say the incident which witnessed sporadic gunshots saw scared voters scamper for safety around the area as the political thugs left the scene of the attack.

In another incident, the convoy of Kabiru Onyene, the Special Adviser to Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State on Domestic Matters, came under attack by gunmen in the Okene area of the state, and in the process his security aide was killed.

According to Onyene who survived the attack with minor injuries, the gunmen attacked his aides while leaving his Agassa GRA residence along Obehira road in Okene Local Government Area of the state.
