The ongoing governorship election in Kogi State is witnessing a large turnout of voters in Okene, the headquarters of the Kogi Central Senatorial District.

Okene is also the home town of Governor Yahaya Bello, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC).

Voters started trooping out as early as 6:00 a.m. and have been orderly in most of the polling stations visited.
