Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) club, Kwara United have announced the resignation of their Technical Adviser, Abubakar Bala.

“@KwaraUnitedFC Coach Bala Abubakar resigns as @KwaraUnitedFC Technical Adviser,” the club tweeted via their official Twitter handle on Monday.

The team are without a win in their last four league games and are deep in the relegation zone with 20 points from 17 matches.

Bala’s resignation follows the club’s 2-1 home defeat to Enugu Rangers in a rescheduled fixture and another disappointing 3-0 outing with Enyimba.

They also drew their last two home matches with Insurance of Benin and Lobi Stars of Makurdi.

Bala, who was sacked at Niger Tornadoes in 2017, joined Kwara United in March 2018, replacing John Obuh.

He had led Niger Tornadoes to reach 2017 Aiteo Cup final but lost on penalties to Akwa United at the Agege Stadium, Lagos.
