La Liga: Messi outscores Ronaldo, as Barca thump Osasuna 3-0
Barcelona star Lionel Messi scored a brace in the second half of Saturday’s game against Osasuna, to become the leading scorer in the Spanish La Liga 2016-17 season.
Messi, who was also the man of the match that ended 3-0 in Barcelona’s favour, made 4 key passes with 86% accuracy and assisted in the opener neted-in by teammate Suarez.

After the win, Luiz Suarez moves on to 10 goals level with Real Madrid’s Christiano Ronaldo, while Messi’s two goals at El Sadar make him the leading scorer in La Liga with 11 goals.
Barcelona, however, is still second-placed on the La Liga table, 3 points behind current leaders and rivals Real Madrid.
