Labour halts NECA’s AGM
The organised labour turned its fury on the Nigerian Employers’ Consultative Association, NECA, as the Joe Ajaero faction of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Friday, disrupted the Annual General Meeting, AGM, of the association.
The action of the Ajaero led NLC was because of what they termed the anti-labour activities of NECA.
NECA’s 59th AGM could not hold due to the action of the labour union, as members of the labour faction stormed the venue of the meeting in Ikeja area of Lagos, carrying and singing solidarity songs.
There were reports that thugs hijacked the protest to cause havoc in the area.
