Lady accused of dating Lanre Gentry slams Mercy Aigbe, Linda Ikeji with N1bn lawsuit

An interview Mercy Aigbe granted Broadway TV where she claimed that her husband was having an affair with a certain fair-skinned lady identified as Opemititi Ajayi who she said was one of the reasons behind her marriage crash has landed her in hot soup.

The lady in question has replied Mercy Aigbe with a N500 million lawsuit for portraying her according to the suit as “a traitor, prostitute, husband snatcher, adulterous, irresponsible, of bad moral character, of low morals and a woman of easy virtue.”

Recall that it the interview Mercy Aigbe granted Broadway TV in the heat of the battery scandal involving her husband, she said; “The last incident started a few days ago when I discovered that my husband was with a lady which is my best friend Opemititi and his PA’s. We are seriously close friends.”

An obviously enraged Opemititi also slammed blogger Linda Ikeji with a N500 million lawsuit too for defamation as she claims that the blogger’s publication put out on the 28th of April, 2017, had an adverse effect on her reputation in the estimation of right thinking people both home and abroad.

In the said article, Linda Ikeji posted thus on her blog: “Another Nollywood marriage has crashed, the details are quite messy and yet again, another fair skinned lady has been fingered to have allegedly caused the marriage crash.

“LIB learnt that domestic violence was a huge factor in the crash and a lady named Opemititi aka ‘Queen Stunner’ has also been mentioned as the lady having an affair with Mercy Aigbe’s hubby.”

In addition to the suit, Opemititi’s lawyers also gave a seven-day ultimatum ordering both Mercy and Linda to issue retractions and public apologies in the media, including their personal social media platforms.

As at the time of filing in this report, both Mercy and Linda were yet to comment on the development.
