Lagos, Abia two others get new CPs

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has approved the appointment of commissioners of police for Lagos and three other states.

The other states are – Abia, Akwa Ibom and Ebonyi.

The PSC spokesman, Ikechukwu Ani, confirmed the development in a statement on Friday in Abuja.

He said the appointments followed promotion of some CPs to the next rank of Assistant Inspector-Generals of Police ( AIGs).

Mr. Ishola Olawale was appointed the CP for Lagos while

Isah Danladi Nda will head to the Abia State command.

Anthonia Adaku Uche Anya was appointed the new CP for the Ebonyi command and Miller Gajere Dantawaye for Akwa Ibom.

Dantawaye will replace Waheed Ayilara who died at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital ( LASUTH ) on August 29.
