LAGOS: Agbaje keeps talking about freedom, are we in bondage in Lagos? Sanwo-olu mocks opponent

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has challenged his main contender in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Jimi Agbaje, on why he keeps asking for freedom for Lagosians.

Sanwo-Olu on a radio show, 91.3FM’s People’s Parliament, on Tuesday, Sanwo-Olu, asked, “This fellow (Jimi Agbaje) doesn’t just have anything to offer Lagosians. So, the only thing he could think of putting on the table is freedom. Freedom from what? Are we in bondage in Lagos?”

He maintained that Agbaje was ignorant of hard work by some people that had brought Lagos State to the status of the 5th largest economy of the continent.

“Do you think it is by magic that Lagos State assumed the enviable position as the fifth largest economy in Africa? No. People worked hard to get the state to this level and they continue to work harder for the state to surpass its current feat. What freedom is anyone talking to us about?” he added.
