The suspension slammed on four members of the Lagos State House of Assembly has been lifted, the Speaker of the House, Mudashiru Obasa announced at the beginning of plenary on Thursday.
According to Obasa, the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC) and the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, called a meeting on Tuesday to intervene in the crisis and directed that the suspension be lifted.
It would be recalled that Hon. Olumuyiwa Jimoh, who was removed as Deputy Majority Leader; Hon.Rotimi Abiru who was removed as Chief Whip; Hon. Moshood Oshun and Hon.Raheem Adewale were suspended on March 9 by the House on what may pass as the first major crisis to hit the legislative arm of the Lagos State Government.
The Speaker however did not say if the principal officers who were removed before their suspension would regain their positions back.
