Lagos-bound luxury bus plunges into Majidun river (Updated)

A luxury bus heading to Lagos from the eastern part of the country has plunged into the Majidun river in the Mile 12 area of Lagos.

Reports say moments after the bus plunged into the river, officials of NEMA (National Emergency Management Agency) and LASEMA (Lagos State Emergency Management Agency) arrived the scene of the incident, to fish out survivors and the dead from the murky waters of the river.
Rescue officials also made provisions for medics to treat injured victims who were in the GUO luxury bus with plate number Anambra GDD 386 YE when the incident happened.  
So far, three persons have been confirmed dead by officials of NEMA.
