Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Thursday confirmed the recovery of another five COVID-19 patients at the state’s isolation facilities.

The state government had earlier on Thursday confirmed the discharge of 16 patients from the facilities after they tested negative for the disease.

This fresh development has therefore brought the number of discharged coronavirus patients in the state to 90.

Sanwo-Olu, who disclosed the discharge of the five patients on his verified Twitter handle, said the patients comprised three women and two men, who had recovered fully and tested negative twice to COVID-19.

According to the governor, they were discharged from the Mainland Infectious Diseases Hospital to reunite with the society.
