The management of Verdic Lifecare Hospital in the Lekki area of Lagos Monday asked all those who visited the facility in the last 10 days to go on self-isolation after two of its staff tested positive for COVID-19.

The hospital said in a statement that its staff contracted COVID-19 after a patient who tested positive for the disease was admitted to the facility.

The statement read: “We also had two staff members who tested positive yesterday (Sunday) evening. The patient and our staff are now being managed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) at their isolation centre

“This moment they do not show any symptoms. All staff members have been maintaining mandatory Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) gear for the last 25 days.

“The facility is currently closed for the decontamination of the building. The fumigation was already carried out by NCDC on 18th April.
