Abducted Lagos monarch finally regains freedom

After seven days in captivity of his abductors the family of Oniba of Iba Town, Oba Yushau Oseni, has been contacted by his kidnappers.

Ripples Nigeria gathered that the abductors are demanding for about N500 million ransom before his release.

Sources within the family say the kidnappers said they need the money to survive, as their means of livelihood in the pipelines has been stopped.

Suspicions heightened that they very well be Niger Delta militants as they accused the Yoruba and Hausa of having stopped them from riping the pipelines.

The 73-year-old monarch was kidnapped last Saturday, July 16, in an ugly event that saw five persons shot including the wife of the monarch.

Reports indicate that three of the victims are dead while two others are recuperating at different hospitals.
