Lai Mohammed sacks Mba, Omeri, Niboro

In a clean sweep that may be a pointer to the shape of things to come, the Federal Government, on Monday, sacked the heads of six parastatals under the Federal Ministry of Information and culture

The affected parastatals are the Nigerian Television Authority, NTA, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN, Voice of Nigeria, VON, News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, Nigeria Broadcasting Commission, NBC and the National Orientation Agency, NOA.

The news of the sack was broken by the Minister of Information and Culture, Mr Lai Mohammed, on Monday during a meeting he held with the sacked Chief Executives in Abuja.

A statement issued by the Special Assistant to the minister, Segun Adeyemi, said the minister to hand over to the most senior officials in their various establishments, while thanking them for their service to the nation.

Those affected are Mr Sola Omole, NTA, Mr Ladan Salihu, FRCN, Mr Sam Worlu, VON, Mr Mike Omeri, NOA, Mr Emeka Mba, NBC, and Mr Ima Niboro, NAN.
