Landlord arrested for killing tenant’s 4-yr-old son with pestle

The long arm of the law has caught up with a landlord identified as Sunday Omosule after he allegedly killed his tenants 4-year-old son with a pestle.

Omosule, a landlord in Onipanu, Ota, in the Ado Odo/Ota Local Government Area of Ogun state was arrested by men of the state Police Command after a distress call was sent out.

Reports say the landlord had gone haywire chasing his tenant with a pestle and caught up with the victim’s mother.

After catching up with the victim’s mother who was carrying the boy, the landlord reportedly hit his mother in the hand and afterwards hit the 4-year-old in the head with the pestle.

Throwing more light on the incident, Abimbola Oyeyemi, the state Police Public Relations Officer said; ““The landlord was arrested following a distress call to the police at Onipanu division.”

During interrogation, Oyeyemi said the victim claimed to be under spiritual attack.

“The mother of the deceased, who sustained injury in the attack, has been taken to a hospital where she is responding to treatment.

“The remains of the victim have been deposited in a mortuary,” the state PPRO said.
