Xherdan Shaqiri came off the bench to inspire a 3-1 victory for Liverpool over Manchester United at Anfield on Sunday.

Sadio Mane’s 24th-minute volley from Fabinho’s perfect delivery gave Liverpool the lead in the 24th minute, but the visitors levelled few minutes after when a dreadful error by goalkeeper Alisson led to a Jesse Lingard goal.

Shaqiri’s rapid-fire double strike in the second half then gave the hosts the deserved victory.
