Nigerian Senate presided over by Ahmad Lawan on Thursday swore in a 12-member ad hoc committee.
The committee chaired by Senator Abubakar Kyari, is to liaise with the management of the National Assembly on matters of housekeeping.
Among others, the committee is expected to work out how seats will be allocated in the chamber and also how offices will shared to the lawmakers.
According to Lawan, the assignment given to the committee begins with immediate effect.
The Kyari led committee is to work with the clerk of the Senate and should within two weeks submit its report.
This is coming just as the lawmakers has adjourned for two weeks, to resume on July 2.
The Senate said the period will allow the National Assembly management to come up with better arrangements for the lawmakers’ office accommodation.
