LEADERSHIP CRISIS IN OHANAEZE: Nwodo not eligible to head group – Prince Ozobu

Published

on

A leadership crisis is brewing in Ohanaeze, the apex socio-cultural organization of the Igbos.

Former Minister of Information, Dr. John Nnia Nwodo, has been touted as the next President-General of the group – to replace the current leader of Ohanaeze, Prof Gary Enwo-Igariwey.

However, former Secretary-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Prince Richard Ozobu, has dismissed the possibility of Nwodo’s emergence as the President-General of Ohanaeze.

Ozobu said that Nwodo was not eligible to contest the office of the President-General of the organisation.

He hinged his stand on the fact that Nwodo only attended Ohanaeze meetings three times in the past 10 years.
