INEC fixes Feb'16, 2019 for Nigerians to decide Buhari's fate

Bebeji constituency in Kano State, has filed a petition to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to recall a member representing them in the state House of Assembly, Abubakar Galadima Kuki.

According to a statement released by the commission’s Information and Voter Education Committee chairman, Adedeji S. Soyebi, the petition was submitted last Friday.

“In accordance with the INEC Guidelines for Recall, the commission has formally acknowledged the receipt of the petition to the petitioners’ representatives and has written to inform Kuki of the presentation of the petition.

“A timetable and schedule of activities pursuant to the petition will be issued shortly,” the statement said.

Bebeji constituency apparently cued into a similar petition by Kogi West senatorial district to INEC seeking to recall Senator Dino Melaye.

There is also a similar move reportedly being processed against Senate President Bukola Saraki by some members of his senatorial district in Kwara State.
