Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler is set to prove doubters wrong after he was appointed as the new coach of Australian A-League side Brisbane Roar.
The former Liverpool free-scoring striker who critics say lacks the experience to coach a football side, penned a two-year deal to coach the Australian club.
Moments after signing the dotted lines, Fowler said; “I am really looking forward to the challenge and I am determined to bring success to a club that has a proud history in the A-League.
“I am really keen to get started and make a difference,” he added.
Reports say Fowler was selected to coach the A-League side after a selection involving 100 candidates after the former coach of the side John Aloisi left the team last December.
