The League Management Company (LMC) has fined Four-time Nigerian champions Kano Pillars the sum of N2.4 million for their fans’ unruly behaviour during their 2-1 home loss to Enyimba at the Sani Abacha Stadium on Wednesday.
According to the LMC, “Kano Pillars fined N2.4 million for fans bad behaviour during and after match against visiting Enyimba last Wednesday. LMC established that fans of four-time champions, Pillars, were disorderly, throwing objects towards the pitch of play and encroaching.”

The Kano club will pay N1 million for the offence of throwing objects on the pitch during the match as well as “impeding movement out of the arena after the game.”
The LMC also ruled that the Kano club compensate the Enyimba officials with the sum of N250 000 following injuries he sustained from an alleged attack during the commotion at the stadium on Wednesday.
Enyimba will be paid N150 000 for their damaged vehicle at the stadium.
However, Kano Pillars could play their home games without fans following a suspended two-game decision placed on their stadium by the LMC, which has put the Sani Abacha Stadium under close watch in case of more trouble.
