A former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has called on the Federal Government to provide Nigerians with food if it insisted on locking them down.

He argued that Nigerians were hungry and locking them down without palliatives could lead to a revolution that might spell doom to the country.

The former minister stated this in a post on his verified Twitter handle-@realFFK, on Monday.

He wrote, “If you insist on locking people down you must provide food for them. You cannot just lock them down and expect them to starve to death. If you do not give them food and still insist on the lockdown then you are provoking a revolution which may consume us all. PEOPLE ARE HUNGRY!”

President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday extended the lockdown of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) as well as Lagos and Ogun states for more two weeks, as part of measures to curb the stubborn COVID-19 pandemic ravaging the world.
