The Federal Ministry of Works, Power and Housing has said that the 2.2 kilometre Oweto Bridge across the River Benue, linking Nasarawa and Benue states, will be completed by November, 2018.

Engr. Wasiu Taiwo, Federal Controller of Works in Nasarawa state, stated this in an interview with newsmen in Lafia, yesterday.

LEADERSHIP Weekend learnt that the Federal Ministry of Works on the instruction of the Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, had embarked on a media tour of ongoing projects in the state on Wednesday.

Taiwo, said the completion of the bridge across River Benue, will create shortcut for travellers from Abuja to South East, by reducing their travelling hours by three hours, hence the commitment from the Federal Government to speed up the completion of the project.
