Lookman, Salah shortlisted for Globe Soccer Awards
Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman and Egypt star Mohamed Salah are the only Africans nominated for the 2024 Globe Soccer Awards.
Other nominees for the men’s best player include Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappé, Erling Haaland, Robert Lewandowski, Cole Palmer and Phil Foden.
Lookman, 27, has enjoyed a remarkable year for both club and country, being one of the star performers at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.

The Atalanta star scored three goals and and registered one assist in seven outings for Super Eagles at the competition.
At club level, he the winger scored a historic hat-trick for Atalanta in the final of the UEFA Europa League.
He also finished 14th in the 2024 Ballon d’or ranking and is also in the running for the CAF Men’s Player of the Year.
