Love gone sour, as man drags lover to court for stealing

Ahile Solomon, a 35-year-old businessman based in Abuja has dragged his girlfriend, Ada Joseph, 32, to court for allegedly stealing his property.
Ada was paraded at a Mararaba Upper Area Court in Abuja  and was faced with a three-count charge of theft, criminal breach of trust and cheating contrary to Sections 288, 322 and 312 of the Penal Code.
According to Solomon, he entrusted all property in his apartment and his poultry farm worth N2.5 million, in the hands of Ada (mother of his two kids) who surprisingly sold the chickens in his poultry along with his property.
While addressing the court, Solomon said; “I gave her everything she wanted, but she sold all the chickens in my poultry farm and parked all my belonging to an unknown destination.
“She later called me and said that one of my children was very sick and at the verge of death, whereas it was a lie.
“My girlfriend has refused to bring back my property or give me the money she got from the poultry farm.”
However, Ada, the defendant pleaded not guilty to the charges leveled against her.
Before the case was adjourned till the 27th of September for further hearing, Ibrahim Shekaru, the Upper Area Court judge, Ibrahim Shekaru, granted bail to the defendant in the sum of N100,000 with one surety in like sum.
