The troubled capital of Maiduguri in Borno State has been hit again by a suicide bomber on New Year’s Eve.

The blast according to an eyewitness, occurred at a tea drinking joint near the Nigerian Customs Service office.

According Victor Isuku, the state police spokesman who confirmed the incident to Punch via SMS, the suicide bomber has thus far been recorded as the only casualty of the explosion.

“Information reaching me now is that there was an explosion at custom area.” Isuku revealed in the SMS.

Continuing, he added that; “Preliminary details available is that only the suicide bomber affected. Now on standby for details soonest.”

    When will this bombing cease totally in Nigeria?
    When are we going to celebrate a day peaceful scenario in Maiduguri?
    We need God intervention.

      Its just suddenly turned to a den of destruction.

    Well the truth is that , no matter how hard we try to stop this bombing of a thing, it won’t stop .it has come to stay finally , just like nothing can stop militancy in the Niger Delta region likewise.
