Man bags 3 months imprisonment for stealing 25 kegs of palm oil
An Ifetedo Magistrates’ Court in Osun on Tuesday, sentenced a 25-year-old man, Afeez Ismaila, to three months imprisonment for stealing 25 kegs of palm oil worth N125,000.
The Magistrate, Mrs Dorcas Ajiboye, who sentenced Ismaila after he pleaded guilty did not give him an option of fine. Ajiboye said that the punishment would serve as deterrent to those who might want to engage in similar acts.
Prosecutor James Obaletan told the court that Marcus Odetade of Ogbon-Ori, Ifetedo in Osun, lodged a report against Ismaila on July 17.
