Man steals pot of soup blames hunger, economic hardship

A father of two who allegedly stole a pot of soup, 12 wraps of fufu and a half basin of garri flour in Bayelsa State has blamed hunger, economic hardship for his action.

35-year-old Kaduna Enatimi,was arrested by a vigilance group, Igbogene Vigilance Committee in Yenagoa Local Government Area (LGA) of Bayelsa State. He was said to hail from Akassa community of Brass LGA of the state.

The vigilantes reportedly apprehended him about 2am on Thursday where he consuming some of the stolen wraps of fufu and the soup.

The alleged thief, a married man and father of two was said to have admitted that hunger and economic hardship led him to steal the pot of soup and the other food items.
