Again, man dives into Lagos Lagoon, LASWA, Police, others on rescue mission

Barley seven months after Dr. Allwell Orji took his life by plunging himself into Lagos Lagoon, a yet-to-be identified man, on afternoon, jumped into the lagoon from the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge.

The development according an eyewitness report has kept officials of the Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA), Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Marine Police and other relevant agencies busy at the scene as they make efforts to rescue the victim.

Not long ago, a 58-year-old woman, Taiwo Titilayo Momoh, had also tried jumping into the sea from the Third Mainland Bridge but for the intervention of policemen on patrol.

Another had also earlier this year, jumped into a canal in the Festac area of Lagos State.
