Man imprisoned 3 months for stealing motorcycle at police headquarters

A Magistrate Court sitting in Osogbo, the Osun State capital,

has sentenced 20-year-old Abeeb Wasiu to three month’s imprisonment.

The culprit offence was stealing of a motorcycle at the Osun State Police Command headquarters in Osogbo.

He was however given an option to pay a fine of
N10,000 or serve his full jail term.

Mr. Mereti Wilson, the police prosecutor, had said before the court upon arraignment of the suspect that Wasiu stole a
motorcycle, marked, SGB 767 QB, belonging to one Wodi
Michael from the police headquarters on August 23, 2016, at
about 11am.
