The prosecutor alleged that Orofin slapped one Inspector Ajiwe Samuel at his duty post, injuring the policeman in his upper lip during the attack.

This, he said, contravened sections 355 and 356 of the Criminal Law of Osun State, 2002.

The accused person however, pleaded not guilty to the charges, while his counsel, Olalekan Babatunde prayed the court to admit his client to bail with an assurance that Orofin would provide reliable sureties.

Magistrate Muhibah Olatunji, in her ruling on the bail application, admitted the accused person to bail in the sum of N200,000 and adjourned the case till June 13.
