Man roasted alive in Ogun tanker explosion

A man was severely burnt beyond recognition in the early hours today at the Owode-Ijako area of Ogun state when the truck he was driving exploded in flames.

The petrol tanker was reported to have upturned its content and bursting into flames destroying shops, houses and cars worth millions of naira.

The lone victim was said to have died on the spot as he was completely roasted alive by the raging fire.

State Fire Service battled to put out the raging fire which lasted for a couple of hours before security operates arrived the scene of the fire in a bid to cordon the area to ascertain the level of damage and investigate the possible cause of the mishap.
