Man United to give Mourinho £200M transfer kitty

Life in Manchester tough, says Mourinho

Jose Mourinho is expected to be handed the managerial position at Manchester United later this week, with a clear object to secure the Premier League title for the Portuguese boss.

The ex-Chelsea boss will replace the outgoing Louis van Gaal who has fallen on his sword after a brand of unattractive football and several transfer market failings, with Mourinho tasked with reviving the Red Devils’ fortunes.

According to the Daily Star, the controversial manager will be handed a kitty of £200 million and be given total control of the club’s transfers -something which hasn’t always been the case at his previous clubs.

Mourinho has been drawing up a shortlist of targets for several weeks now and is set to get straight down to business upon his appointment at Old Trafford.

United’s squad at present is full of exciting, young potential and it remains to be seen which areas in particular Mourinho will be keen to strengthen.
