Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah scored for Liverpool in their 2-0 victory over Chelsea in a Premier League clash at Anfield on Sunday.

With the win, the Reds returned to the top of the league, with four games remaining.

Second-placed Manchester City had gone above after beating Crystal Palace earlier on Sunday, but have a game at hand in the race.

After a goalless first half, Mane put the hosts ahead in the 51st minute, before Salah scored a wonder goal two minutes after.

“I had the best view [of Salah’s goal]. I saw earlier than most people that it would go in. What a finish, what a shot. But the whole move around it. Wow, brilliant,” Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp said after the game.

“In the first half we played against the wind, in the second half we had the wind at our backs. So we used that obviously. Then at 2-0 up, there was a little system change from the opponent, with Hazard moving to the left and [Gonzalo] Higuain upfront.

“But then we are completely on our bikes from 70 minutes, defending, tackling, counter-attacking. Then they had three moments but Alisson was there. He saved our life in those moments.”

With four games left for the Reds, and five for City, the title race is still wide open.
