Manhunt for IYC deputy chair

Published

on

The police in Bayelsa State are combing the streets and creeks to arrest the Vice-Chairman, Ijaw Youths Council (IYC), Central Zone, Mr. Amiebi Turner, following his alleged attempt to kill his boss, Mr. Tare Porri.

It was gathered that the Commissioner of Police, Don Awunah, has ordered manhunt on Turner for failing to honour an invitation to the command to explain his roles in the alleged attempts on the life of Porri and some elders in council.

Awunah was reportedly disturbed by the incident of June 24 when Turner allegedly stormed a peace meeting held in the premises of the Chairman of the Elders Advisory Council, Mike Wenibowei, and held Porri at gunpoint.
