Man’s hand chopped off in clash between rival cult groups in Delta

A yet-to-be identified man had his right hand chopped off following a clash between rival cult groups at Tuomo community, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State in an incident which caused commotion in the area.

According to reports, men of the Bomadi Police Division and military personnel attached to the 222 Battalion, Bomadi swung into action arresting five members of the gangs during a raid on their hideouts.

According to an operative of a vigilante group in the area, the clash between the rival cult groups identified as Vikings and Green Landers occurred in the early hours of Sunday.

As at the time of this report, the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Andrew Aniamaka, could not be reached to comment on the incident.
