Media barred, as IGP appears before Senate probe panel

Police dismiss 3 officers who raided Clark’s home, but Nigerians ask for more

Police officers attached to the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr. Ibrahim Idris, have blocked journalists covering the Senate from gaining access to the venue of the ongoing probe of the police boss by a Senate adhoc committee.

The journalists, numbering over 15, were barred when they attempted to gain access to the venue, despite being officially invited by the adhoc committee.

The face-off between newsmen and police officers was still ongoing as at the time of filing this report

    When the media isn’t allowed into probe panel when the media are supposed to be there, we all know what it means. The senate wants to probe.

      The senate wants to do what? Those guys are not probing anything, they held close door meeting to settle things amicably with IGP

    The probe of the police boss by a Senate adhoc committee is no more probe, it is definitely settlement between bot parties. Locking the pressmen outside the meeting venue is a clear proof

    Just recently, Mr Lai said thos government is support the press and we can see how hard the press is being supported by not giving pressmen access to the venue where they can gather information
