Meet varsity Professor who drives El-Zakzaky

In what could be described as weird and strange, a Professor of Polymer Composite, and Deputy Dean, Faculty of Physical Sciences, Ahmadu Bello University, (ABU), Zaria, Kaduna State, Abdullahi Danladi, has said he picked up the role of being the personal driver to the leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), otherwise called Shi’ites, Sheik Ibrahim El-Zakyzaky, as a service to God.

Danladi, who is the immediate past Head of the Department of Polymer Science at the university, said professors are first human beings before attaining their statuses and so, taking up responsibilities as drivers to men of God shouldn’t attract “any unnecessary attention.”

In an exclusive interview with New Telegraph, Danladi, who hails from Katsina State, revealed that he has been a member of IMN for many years, and that being the organisation’s leader’s personal driver and running errands for him is one of the best ways he could serve God.
