Police begins investigation into Melaye’s ‘kidnap’

The embattled senator representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye has finally exited his residence which has been under siege by the police for the last eight days.

Melaye was reportedly escorted to the Force Headquarters to see the Inspector-General, Ibrahim Idris by his colleagues in the National Assembly, who visited him at his residence earlier in the day.

The police said Melaye was wanted for culpable homicide and had been avoiding arrest, necessitating the invasion of his home last Friday.
