Melaye’ recall: Electorate may sue INEC over forgery of names, signatures

Published

on

Based on the information gathered directly from all polling units in Kogi West, there were indications yesterday that the recall exercise of Senator Dino Melaye is a total failure and outright waste of tax payer’s resources.

Besides, scores of people complained bitterly over inclusion of their names and signatures on the list without their knowledge, and a number of them threatened legal action against the Independent National Electoral Commission for the forgery.

The recall process of Dino Melaye, senator representing Kogi West, took place yesterday across 560 polling units in the senatorial district with voters in Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency in Kogi shunning the verification exercise organised by INEC to authenticate the signatures of voters seeking to recall of Sen. Dino Melaye (APC/Kogi West).
