Melaye narrates his ordeal after escape from ‘assassins’

Former lawmaker, Senator Dino Melaye, has warned Nigerian leaders of an impending violent revolution by the poor due to the effect of the ongoing lockdown occasioned by the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the November 16, 2019 Kogi-West senatorial election, who took to Twitter to express his concern said that perilous times were ahead in Nigeria, especially for those living in highbrow residential areas.

According to Melaye, the ruling class must act immediately to avert the danger by listening to the poor and oppressed or risk being invaded by hungry and angry Nigerians.

“We the ruling class must do something before something do us.

“Housing segregation put us the elites at jeopardy; Ikoyi, Banana Island, Maitama, Asokoro etc.

“Our leaders including me beware of violent revolution, perilous Times loading,” Melaye warned.
